Since this is the first blog I am writing I think it should be a little special in its own way. Memories as they are, some sweet and some that hurt, but certainly they make us nostalgic when we retrospect. And hence I shall be writing a bit on some of my many first time experiences.
The first time on stage-The time when I was in nursery...Didn’t really know what was going on around me, as I was concentrating on performing my trick. (I was a magician both in dress and in action)
The first day at school- Felt abandoned and tricked by my parents as they told me that they will never leave me alone, the very same morning.
The first medal- Won it in a frog race and was in kinder-garden at that time.
First school trip- A one day trip to Gwalior when I was in the 4th standard. I don’t remember anything except the fact that I didn’t miss my family at all. It maybe because the trip was so short that I didn’t even get the opportunity to miss them in the first case.
The first slap at school- I was monitoring my classroom and suddenly a teacher came in. She misunderstood the situation and happily and with tough hands... and I do mean happily, because the teacher had a reputation at stake.
The first and last choir- In the 6th standard at the annual day celebration, when we sang “let love be the gift of the season” and two other songs which I don’t remember.
The first garlic-bread we made at home- It was a great experience to see the bread grill in the oven as our hearts pound, since we all thought that it might burn or loose moisture, but what came out was a savoury experience that remains embedded as a beautiful memory in my heart. I can say with cent percent guarantee that it can beat Pizza Hut’s counterpart effortlessly.
School’s Jubilee year celebration- I was perhaps lucky as the same year our batch gave the tenth board exam, and the result gave me the opportunity to become an integral part of the celebration. Twice I was called upon the stage and given an award, in front of a gathering of probably ten thousand or more. I definitely felt to be on “top of the world” for a minute or two.
School farewell - A memorable day as saw, many of the usual known faces for the last time. (Leaving the board exam time, since all of us had the same centre.)
The first day at I.I.S.T- An unforgettable experience as the photograph on the ID keeps reminding of how horrible we looked after a tiresome day of drifting here and there for getting through with the admission and registration process. And definitely the fact that I figured out the entire span of our temporary campus within the whole process keeps reminding me as to how small the campus was.
And so it is...
There are definitely many more first timers, but I guess I can’t share each one of them with everyone (as it is a blog), some of them are quite personal to me and so this shall be all.
nice one...10 pointer
